Cheap Red Lace Bra Ruined My Night
The evening began with checking my attire for the festivities that were to follow: favorite red dress; check! matching flesh-tone shoes and purse; check! red lacy panties; check! AND, my brand-new "low priced extra comfortable" red lacy bra; check!
Early in the evening, and at the event, I felt a creeping itch/sting on the area just above my right breast. Suddenly, the sensation spread to my upper left breast, then to the skin along the bottom wired portion of my new "comfortable", red lacy bra. I had to excuse myself and made a quick path to the powder room, wriggling in my dress while trying to appear casual.
Once inside the powder room (and in the privacy of my stall) I yanked the top of my beautiful red dress down past my breasts to get to the dastardly bra! What was causing the unrelenting itch/sting??? As my fingers ran along every inch of the bra, which was now off my breasts and laying limply across my hands, I discovered 3 annoyances: 1: The lace seemed to morph into spikes of straw 2: The lower-edge wire poked a hole through the fabric 3: The metal rings on the adjustable shoulder straps each had a sharp edge, which I didn't notice until wearing.
But, most of all, my evening ended with my new red bra being "canned" in the powder room receptacle, and my having learned a valuable lesson in purchasing comfort: From then on, when I shop for clothing and underclothing, (especially bras), I remember that night, and how saving money is not always the ultimate bargain it seems to be!
